Do you speak or read in English at all?
If you are able to, that would be a massive advantage for us with respect to correctly modifying the RTL layout codes.
When I try to read Arabic, all I can comprehend is the visibly apparent beauty of the Arabic script itself, while I simply couldn’t possibly hope to grasp any meaning beyond the visual magnificence of the text.
I didn’t even have the slightest awareness that Arabic was RTL until meeting you two weeks ago. Infact, I literally didn’t know RTL was a real thing.
I only know now because you taught me.
And I’ve already begun teaching this to others because RTL is just not a subject we’re commonly taught in the “west”.
I am able and willing to learn the CSS coding that you need, and I am absolutely willing, indeed, I intend to teach you all of this RTL CSS as soon as I learn it myself.
Though I need your help so that I can then be able to help you.
For example: I can spend days doing all the CSS coding at a test site and have everything flipped to RTL from my point of view. So to me, I see all the English text backwards, and I can also use Google translate to manifest some Arabic text, but for all I know the Arabic text might actually be backwards, therefore the CSS coding for it would be incorrect and still require prope adjustment.
Which is where your input would be critical important.
You would immediately be able to tell if your language isn’t being presented correctly and thus you could instruct me accordingly.
Google translate doesn’t indicate whether a text is LTR or RTL or anything like that.
If you go to https://testingsite3.flarum.cloud/ you can test out a new LTR/RTL toggle function I’ve begun creating. It’s a simple arrow button found at the top right near the user avatar.
A simple button that flips between Left-to-Right & Right-to-Left layout.
I think it could be significantly beneficial for forum serving multilingual interactions.
English speakers and Arabic speakers could then use the same forum at the same time in either LTR or RTL.
😅Man I really hope you can understand what I’m desperately trying to communicate.(?)
